About

LinuxLabs is a practice environment for students and exam candidates who need real command line practice without the pain of virtual machines.

Why it exists

Setting up a hypervisor on a laptop, dorm Wi-Fi, or a school Chromebook often takes longer than the lab exercise itself. LinuxLabs runs a real Linux environment in the browser instead. There is nothing to install.

Who it is for

Students in intro Linux, operating systems, or IT courses. Candidates preparing for entry-level Linux certification exams. Beginners learning file manipulation, shell redirection, permissions and log analysis.

Exams and credentials

The labs rehearse published objectives from the entry-level Linux certifications listed on the exam prep page. LinuxLabs does not reproduce exam content, sell vouchers, administer exams, or issue certificates, and it is not affiliated with or endorsed by any certification body or exam provider.
